Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the materials required and the scope of work
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials according to specifications, using hand and power tools
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, stairs, and framing
- Repair or replace damaged framework, doors, windows, and other wooden parts
- Ensure that all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, architects, and engineers to ensure successful project completion
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices, when required
- Follow project timelines and communicate any delays or issues to the project manager
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a carpenter or similar role
- Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
