Job Summary:
Kuwait International Airport is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Operations Manager to oversee daily airport functions, ensure smooth passenger and cargo movement, and maintain compliance with international aviation standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating with airlines, ground services, and regulatory authorities to optimize airport operations and enhance passenger experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee airport operations, including terminal management, ground handling, security, and airside activities.
- Ensure compliance with Kuwait Civil Aviation regulations, IATA, and ICAO safety and security standards.
- Monitor and manage passenger flow, baggage handling, and air traffic coordination to minimize delays and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with airlines, customs, immigration, and other airport stakeholders for seamless airport operations.
- Lead and supervise airport staff, ensuring effective training and performance management.
- Handle emergency response planning and crisis management to ensure passenger safety.
- Oversee maintenance of airport facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Manage customer service strategies to enhance passenger satisfaction.
- Develop and implement airport policies, procedures, and operational strategies.
- Analyze operational data and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in airport operations or aviation management.
- Strong knowledge of international aviation regulations, airport safety, and security protocols.
- Leadership experience with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities to interact with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced airport environment.
- Proficiency in airport management software and operational reporting tools.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
