Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to established recipes and portion sizes.
- Maintain a clean and organized food service area, including tables, counters, and food preparation areas, following health and safety regulations.
- Greet customers, take their orders and handle payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and delivery processes, coordinating orders and communicating any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Monitor food and beverage inventory levels, restock items as necessary, and notify the supervisor of any shortages or quality issues.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information, to assist customers with their choices and accommodate their dietary needs.
- Assist in maintaining a positive and cooperative work environment by working effectively with team members, displaying a strong work ethic, and promoting teamwork and mutual respect.
- Follow established food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of food items, to maintain health and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall operations of the food service establishment.
Qualifications:
- A valid work permit to work in Canada.
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals with a passion for exceptional customer service and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers and team members in a friendly and professional manner.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is an asset.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
