As a Warehouse Receiver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse by receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming shipments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments of heating and plumbing supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Inspect received items for damages, discrepancies, and accuracy of orders.
- Record and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Label, tag, and organize received items for storage and distribution.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing receiving tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating inventory.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems or inventory software.
- Valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving or a similar role is an asset.
- Familiarity with heating and plumbing products is advantageous.
Working Environments:
