Position Summary:
As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of mail and parcels to customers and businesses. You will be responsible for driving a delivery vehicle, following assigned routes, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport mail and parcels to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and security.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients as required.
- Report any delivery issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with delivery.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with local streets and neighborhoods.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
